Science offers the perfect platform for our girls to expand their imaginations and explore the world around them.
From rocket launches, exciting chemical reactions, crystal growing and flame testing with Bunsen burners, to crime scene analysis, listening to heartbeats and splitting white light into rainbows, girls are given the opportunity to investigate scientific phenomena. Within a well-equipped Science Laboratory, girls learn to make sense of their experiences and discover how the world works. Topics include ecology, the Periodic Table, space and the human body. Girls design and carry out their own investigations in order to answer scientific questions, and use a wide range of laboratory equipment, including microscopes. They are given the opportunity to apply their knowledge outside of the classroom and enjoy a residential visit to Dorking to investigate rivers and habitats.
At Pembridge Hall we offer exciting extra-curricular clubs, including 'Kitchen Sink Science’ where the girls enjoy opportunities to perform marvellous experiments whilst the 'Green Girls' tend to their beautiful and completely edible garden.
Whether your daughter is a scientist in the making or a passive explorer she will no doubt enjoy navigating her way through the curriculum in our hands-on laboratory.
