PHPA

The PHPA raises awareness of the chosen PHPA charities and supports the school in their charitable endeavours.

The charities' initiative by the PHPA has been an unqualified success and we would like to thank all the parents for supporting us through our social events/fundraisers as well as donating their daughter's second hand uniform and, crucially, buying it!

In addition to the donations that we give to charities, all the PHPA funded school events are made possible due to the money generated through the Second Hand Uniform Sales. These include: the Lower and Upper School Christmas Parties; the Headmaster's Quiz Night/Candlelit Supper; Refreshments at Sports Day and the Summer Fete as well as other smaller items.

Our grateful thanks goes to Victoria Heath and Alison Thornhill who ran the Second Hand Uniform Sales for the last few years and put much time and enormous effort into making sure the PHPA can continue to enhance the girls' time at PH as well as provide charitable donations. This has now been taken over by Clara Batalim-Orcel and Helena O'Shea.

Throughout the year we work together with the school to raise money and awareness for our charities, as well as organising donations. For further information and links to the charities we support, please look at the Charity section on the school website.

Would you like to nominate a charity?

Should any parent wish to nominate a charity for this academic year, please email Virginia Kairis (vmkairis@hotmail.com) with all details by Friday 15th September.

All charities suggested must have a UK Charity Commission number as well as following the criteria that they must be either local, benefits children and/or educational. A list of the charities will be compiled and we will try to support each one throughout the year. At year end, if there is a surplus of PHPA funds, further donations will be made.
