Plan Ed is a committee of seven girls in Years 5 and 6.
We meet weekly and our objective is to discuss matters concerning children in developing countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Syria. We believe that every child has a right to an education. We also believe that we have a responsibility to help children in developing countries who are suffering as a result of natural disasters or war.
Plan Ed has strong links with the Rainbow Centre in Sri Lanka. The Rainbow Centre is a school for children between the ages of 5 – 18 which was founded by a former Pembridge Hall parent following the Tsunami disaster in 2004. Each year we undertake fundraising activities for the school and through our connection, we have learned a great deal about Sri Lanka. We are looking forward to learning more about other Commonwealth countries as this year progresses.
